Interests |
Visualize particle interactions
with cirral and ciliary elements of living gills using confocal microscopy.
Collection of data at resolutions that allow visualization of individual
beating cirri and of particles as small as 0.7 µm. Dr. Silverman's
group has helped design an instrument and an educational program for the
use of a hand-held video microscope for the K-12 community. The instrument
is being marketed and being used in school districts in several different
states. |
