Interests |
Development of optical
instrumentation, real-time white light confocal microscopy for the rapid
diagnosis of eye diseases and glaucoma, including developing criteria for
the application of "optical biopsy"; Development of software for
the quantitative analysis of cellular images from the human eye as well
as animal models of disease; Application and development of methods for
the use of fluorescence confocal microscopy in living, intact tissue for
analysis of cellular events and clinical diagnosis. Determine the spectral
sensitivity of various tissues such as the eye and the skin and implementation
of this into optical instrumentation. Application of confocal methods for
the examination of the cellular structure of mucous membranes. |
